Biogeography has developed rapidly in the past decades to become a key area of research. This is due to the pressures placed on natural environments: caused by both natural and anthropogenic acts. Also, there is a recognised need for environmental policy at all scales (local, regional, national and globally) to conserve environments and sustainably manage the global population’s needs. This websites aim is to introduce the key underpinnings of biogeographical study, as well as providing some case studies of different environments.
